KORELASI ANTARA EKSPRESI BCL-2 DAN LMP-1 PADA PASIEN KARSINOMA NASOFARING WHO TIPE III

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Karsinoma Nasofaring (KNF) merupakan keganasan pada epitel nasofaring yang sulit dideteksi secara dini karena letak keganasan awalnya yang tersembunyi. Hubungan antara karsinoma nasofaring dan infeksi virus Epstein-barr telah dinyatakan oleh berbagai peneliti, dijumpai peninggian titer antibodi anti EBV (EBNA-1) di dalam serum plasma. Selain itu, gangguan regulasi gen yang mengkodekan protein BCL-2 proapoptotic maupun antiapoptotic juga dapat menimbulkan kanker.

Tujuan:Mengetahui adakah korelasi antara ekspresi BCL-2 dengan Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) pada sediaan blok parafin karsinoma nasofaring di wilayah Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik laboratoris dengan desain penelitian potong lintang (cross-sectional).Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Lambda untuk mencari korelasi antara BCL-2 dan LMP-1. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2017 di laboratorium Rumah Sakit Islam Siti Hajar dan Laboratorium Patologi Anatomi Rumah Sakit Umum Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Hasil:Total 44 responden. Responden terbanyak didapatkan pada kelompok usia 40-49 tahun yaitu 13 orang. Responden laki-laki lebih banyak dibandingkan perempuan yaitu 29 orang. Jenis BCL-2 terbanyak adalah 0 ditemukan pada 15 orang. Hasil LMP-1 negatif lebih banyak dibandingkan hasil positif yaitu 29 orang. Hasil uji Lambda untuk variabel LMP-1 terikat diperoleh nilai r=0,733 menunjukkan korelasi kuat antara BCL-2 dan LMP-1 dengan arah korelasi positif. Untuk korelasi antara BCL-2 dan LMP-1 (p=0,002) artinya dalam penelitian ini terdapat korelasi bermakna secara statisik.

Kesimpulan: Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang kuat dan signifikan antara BCL-2 terhadap LMP-1. Meningkatnya BCL-2 akan mempengaruhi peningkatan LMP-1.
