Abstract

Latar belakang: Pekerja pertambangan skala kecil sangat rentan terhadap paparan debu dan dapat membahayakan kondisi kesehatan para pekerja tambang, salah satunya adalah fungsi parunya akibat tidak adanya standar keselamatan pekerja pada pertambangan skala kecil. Penelitian mengenai pengaruh paparan debu pertambangan terhadap fungsi paru pekerja pertambangan skala kecil masih belum banyak dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan debu pertambangan emas skala kecil terhadap kapasitas fungsi paru pekerja pertambangan.

Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan potong lintang. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 68 orang. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pekerja pertambangan emas skala kecil di Kecamatan Sekotong sebagai kelompok terpapar debu dan mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Mataram dan pegawai Bank NTB sebagai kelompok yang tidak terpapar debu. Subjek diwawancara dan diukur Kapasitas Fungsi Parunya menggunakan spirometer. Analisis data menggunakan uji t tidak berpasangan.

Hasil: Pada kelompok terpapar debu, didapatkan rerata FEV1=2,48 L, FVC=2,59 L, %FEV1=66,51% dan %FVC=61,03%. Pada kelompok tidak terpapar debu didapatkan rerata FEV1=3,16 L, FVC=3,29 L, %FEV1=88,34% dan %FVC=79,37%. Didapatkan perbedaan signifikan (p=0,00) pada perbandingan nilai rerata FEV1, FVC, %FEV1 dan %FVC antara kedua kelompok.

Kesimpulan: Paparan debu pertambangan emas skala kecil di Kecamatan Sekotong berpengaruh terhadap kapasitas fungsi paru pekerja pertambangan.
