Abstract

Basosquamous cell carcinoma (BSC) is a rare, relatively aggressive non-melanoma skin tumor which tend to recurrence and metastasis. Basosquamous cell carcinoma (BSC) remains as challenge because it has raised a lot of controversy due to its classification, its pathogenesis and its management. There are currently no clear diagnostic criteria and management guidelines of BSC disease because there are overlaps in term of clinical characteristic and histopathology between that of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). This study reports two BSC cases of two women aged 60 years and 53 years, who suspected of having BCC through clinical and dermoscopy observation, but diagnosed BSC through histopathological observation.
