Abstract

Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO) is a thyroid hormone imbalance that
manifests in the eye. The most common TAO is in Grave’s Disease. TAO could increase the
intraocular pressure and could cause a glaucoma optic neuropathy and therefore secondary
glaucoma could happen.
