Abstrak

Latar Belakang: Penelitian sangat berguna untuk masa depan seorang calon dokter, namun mahasiswa pendidikan dokter Universitas Mataram memiliki nilai yang kurang memuaskan pada mata kuliah metodologi penelitian. Penelitian menentukan penilaian kualitas suatu perguruan tinggi. Dalam pendidikan kedokteran, mahasiswa dituntut untuk dapat menelaah maupun melakukan penelitian kedokteran sesuai dengan profesionalitas dokter sebagai pembelajar sepanjang hayat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai hubungan sikap terhadap penelitian dan hambatan penelitian dengan keterlibatan penelitian mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitaas Mataram.

Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif berdesain cross-sectional survey. Sebanyak 129 dari total 140 mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan dokter Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Mataram semester 5 dan 7 yang telah mengikuti mata kuliah metodologi penelitian melengkapi kuesioner Revised Attitude Towards Research (R-ATR) untuk mengukur sikap terhadap penelitian, kuesioner hambatan penelitian dan keterlibatan dalam penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi spearman.

Hasil: Sikap terhadap penelitian memiliki korelasi positif rendah dengan keterlibatan penelitian (r=0,322;p <0,001), sedangkan hambatan penelitian memiliki korelasi yang negatif rendah dengan keterlibatan penelitian (r=-0,209;p <0,05).

Simpulan : Sikap terhadap penelitian dan hambatan penelitian dapat menjadi faktor yang memengaruhi tinggi rendahnya keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan penelitian.
