Abstract

Abstrak: Divertikulitis merupakan penyakit divertikular simptomatik yang ditandai dengan terjadinya inflamasi pada divertikulum. Sampai saat ini, patofisiologi terjadinya divertikulitis belum diketahui secara pasti. Interaksi antar faktor seperti faktor genetik, struktur dan motilitas kolon, mikrobiota kolon, usia, dan diet diduga dapat berperan dalam terjadinya penyakit. Divertikulitis harus dipertimbangkan sebagai diagnosis banding dari nyeri perut akut tepatnya di bagian kiri bawah abdomen. Kriteria diagnosis pada kasus divertikulitis adalah ditemukannya inflamasi divertikula, penebalan dinding intestinal melebihi 3 atau 5 mm, dan peningkatan kontras medium absorbsi pada pemeriksaan CT Scan dan MRI. Adanya perforasi, obstruksi, fistulisasi, dan abses yang terdeteksi pada pemeriksaan gambaran radiologi apapun dapat menjadi tanda komplikasi divertikulitis. Prognosis pada pasien dengan divertikulitis bergantung pada usia, adanya penyakit penyerta, dan tingkat keparahan penyakit.
