Korelasi Skor Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) dan Montreal Cognitive Assessment Versi Indonesia (MoCA-Ina) Sebagai Instrumen Evaluasi Fungsi Kognitif pada Pasien Epilepsi di Kota Mataram

Abstrak

Latar Belakang : Epilepsi merupakan penyakit neurologi dengan prevalensi tertinggi di dunia. Salah satu komplikasi penting dari epilepsi adalah penurunan fungsi kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis korelasi skor Mini-mental State Examination (MMSE) dan Montreal Cognitive Assessment Versi Indonesia (MoCA-Ina) pada pasien Epilepsi di kota Mataram.

Metode : Penelitian observasional dengan metode potong lintang ini melibatkan 56 subjek dengan epilepsi di dua rumah sakit rujukan utama di Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Dilakukan pengambilan data skor MMSE dan MoCA-Ina pada subjek tersebut. Disamping itu juga dilakukan pengambilan data yang meliputi usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, kontrol bangkitan, etiologi epilepsi, tipe bangkitan, obat antiepilepsi yang digunakan, dan status merokok dari subjek. Korelasi rerata skor MMSE dan MoCA-Ina dari subjek dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji korelasi Spearman.

Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek penelitian ini memiliki rerata usia 32.9 tahun, jenis kelamin perempuan (55.4%), dan tingkat pendidikan rendah (62.5%). Terkait dengan karakteristik klinik, sebagian besar pasien tidak mengalami depresi (67%), memiliki kontrol bangkitan yang buruk (55.4%), etiologi idiopatik (66.9%), tipe bangkitan umum (71.4%), dan mendapatkan monoterapi (85.7%). Sebagian besar subjek adalah bukan perokok (76.8%). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa rerata skor MMSE dan MoCA-Ina dari subjek adalah 25.3 dan 21.3. Rerata skor MMSE memiliki korelasi kuat dengan rerata skor MoCA-Ina (r=0.766; p<0.001).

Kesimpulan : Rerata skor MMSE dan MoCA-Ina pasien epilepsi di Kota Mataram memiliki korelasi yang kuat. Dengan demikian, kedua instrumen tersebut dapat digunakan untuk evaluasi fungsi kogitif pada pasien epilepsi.
